Copywriting

I want to be able to write great copy that will make me money but don’t know where to start can anyone help!?

I want to Learn How to become a successful copywriter. But don’t have any English qualifications GCSE, A-level etc (when i asked a leading UK Internet Marketing company’s HR person he said i need an A-level in English to join the copy writing team) . I don’t know where to start. Does anyone know any books, courses etc.. that will give me the education i want.

And please don’t say go get an A-level English qualification LOL..

In the first place, be realistic. I doubt if anyone would give you a job as a Copy Writer without qualifications in English.

You cannot ‘Learn’ to write ‘great copy’! It is a knack, a talent. some mental quirk that some people have and most don’t. It is like going to Art College, they can teach you how to paint but NOT how do create ‘great’ art works!

I really think – and i know that this is not what you want to hear – that your dream is a non starter unless you get an English Language qualification at A level. It is only one subject so go to night school or college! There is an old saying “there is no gain without pain” – applies to your situation i am afraid. Success does not come without a bit of hard work my friend.
